Reproductive Hazards in the Workplace

 David Galbraith, MD, Senior Principal, and Andy Monnot, PhD, Managing Health Scientist, with Cardno ChemRisk will discuss approaches for conducting toxicological assessments of reproductive hazards in the workplace. Topics covered will include: processes for identifying reproductive toxins, adverse reproductive outcomes, and common themes surrounding reproductive health effect concerns and legal claims in the workplace. 

 

Presenters

 David Galbraith, MD, Senior Principal

Dr. David Galbraith is a Senior Principal at Cardno ChemRisk, a firm providing toxicology, industrial hygiene, epidemiology, and medical risk assessment consulting services. With over 25 years of life sciences consulting experience, David specializes in understanding and quantifying human health risk, with a particular emphasis on exposures to chemical toxins in environmental and occupational settings.

He has been frequently called upon to offer opinions regarding exposures to chemicals that have been alleged to cause or contribute to a variety of different chronic or malignant health conditions.  David has been a practicing emergency, acute care, and occupational medicine physician, and has presented at many scientific meetings and continuing education conferences, and has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals regarding occupational health, health risk assessment, and product liability issues.  Dr. Galbraith is a licensed physician in the state of California.

 

Andy Monnot, PhD, Managing Health Scientist

 Dr. Monnot received a PhD in Toxicology from Purdue University and a BS in Biology from Walsh University.  He has seven years of professional experience.  His primary professional practice areas include metals toxicology, industrial toxicology, exposure/risk assessment as well as consumer product safety. 

During his tenure at Cardno ChemRisk, Dr. Monnot has performed risk assessments, toxicological assessments, and chemical reviews for a number of clients on a variety of compounds including industrial chemicals, environmental contaminants, food additives, and personal care products.
